DOG BOARDING KENNELS

All of our boarding kennels have inclusive runs for the dogs to use at any time of day, as they choose. We do have a small number of kennels available for those boarders who do not require a separate outside facility, and these boarders have daily use of our large, supervised and secure exercise area.

All of our kennels, corridors and outdoor areas are cleaned and sanitized (disinfected) on a daily schedule. In addition to this, each dog's kennel and run is checked and cleaned throughout the day, so we 'poop scoop' as the need arises over each day. All bedding is replaced with clean bedding each day. Whether your pet is canine or feline we assure all the possible comforts that you would expect from a professional service at Fir Tree Boarding Kennels.

• Temperature controlled kennel accommodation with "doggie doors" to individual outside runs.
• Each individual kennel has bedding and dishes removed and cleaned daily.
• Guests are welcome to bring their own comfort blanket ( or two) in the form of teeshirts or nighties which smell of their favourite human (at the owner's risk).
• Individual runs plus large supervised and secure exercise areas.
• Range of kennel sizes, large enough for multi-pet families to share comfortably.
• Bathing and grooming facilities available.
• Small, clean and lighted kenneling blocks.
• Good quality nutritious food served at all times. (Guests are welcome to bring their own food or special dietary requirements.)
• 24-hour on-site supervision
• Special puppy or geriatric care available
• All of our guests have constant access to clean fresh water.
• All kenneling areas double gated for safety and security.
• All kenneling areas are routinely 'poop scooped' throughout each day.
• All kenneling areas have scheduled daily cleaning and sanitizing.
• Any special diets or administering of vet-prescribed medication will be accommodated.

In addition to the above, we will be pleased to give your dog a bath, trim or full styling before returning home. See our excellent on-site grooming facilities for further details.

We know how difficult the decision about leaving your dog while you're away can be.  Why not give us a call to discuss any concerns you may have?  Or even pay us a visit and take a look around?  During your call or your visit, be sure to mention anything that concerns you about leaving your dog.  All staff are fully experienced with looking after diabetic and epileptic dogs and cats.  We do not take risks with the health of our boarders, we seek the very best of veterinary attention whenever the need arises - for which we request your permission on checking in your dog.  We have a great deal of experience and can often help, advise and reassure you about your dog's accommodation.  

We require that all of our boarders must be fully vaccinated, with their vaccinations up to date - including Kennel Cough vaccination. This is for the comfort and safety of all our boarders, where a risk of cross-infection may exist. We need to see each dog's vaccination record, or other veterinary certificate of inoculation, at the time of checking in. For the benefit of all of our guests, we will not check in a dog that does not have this information to hand. We will be pleased to help or advise for those who need to have their dog inoculated or to bring their innoculations up to date.

As well as our excellent boarding facility, we are the leading accommodation kennels for North West Counties Boxer Rescue Organisation. Chosen for the facilities that we can offer our boarders, kenneling standards and 24 hour supervision of all of our boarders. We are proud of our appointment as the primary kenning facility for the rescue boxers, as this reflects the high standard of care and attention that they require.  (All matters concerning Boxer Rescue must be handled directly with them.  We do not have viewing facilities or adoption facilities on site for rescue dogs.)
