CAT BOARDING CATTERY
Our cat boarding facility offers all of our cat boarders the highest possible standards of care. Our kennel owner breeds Siamese Colour-Point cats, and so we have an in-depth knowledge of cats and correct housing for them. Cats are a most independent creature, but love their comforts and the ability to exercise, probably more than their canine counterparts. Our aim at Fir Tree Kennels is to create a nurturing environment in our separate cattery block for each cat that we accommodate. Cats need a low stress, safe environment and clean facilities.
We provide a place where your cat will feel comfortable and cared about (as well as cared for!) while they are away from their home. Our cat housing (inside our separate cattery building) is designed so that your cat will receive the maximum individual time and attention each day. Our cattery is double gated for the safety security of our guests and each guest cat stays in their own heated housing unit.
All of our individual cat housings, corridors and outdoor areas are cleaned and sanitized (disinfected) on a daily schedule. Every guest cat is provided with clean bedding each day and their own litter tray. In addition to this, each house and run is checked and cleaned throughout the day, so we 'poop scoop' as the need arises over each day. All bedding is replaced with clean bedding each day and every litter tray is emptied and refreshed at least daily. Whether your pet is feline or canine we assure all the possible comforts that you would expect from a professional service at Fir Tree Boarding Kennels.

All staff are fully experienced looking after diabetic and epileptic dogs and cats. We do not take risks with the health of our boarders, we seek the very best of veterinary attention whenever the need arises - for which we request your permission on checking in your cat or dog. We have a great deal of experience and can often help, advise and reassure you about your pet's accommodation.
Boarder's Vaccination Details
We require that all of our boarders must be fully vaccinated, with their vaccinations up to date - including Cat Flu (Feline calicivirus (FCV) & Feline Herpesvirus (FHV)) and 'Cat Kennel Cough' (Bordatella Bronchiseptia) vaccination - these are generally included with your annual innoculations, but it may be worth checking with your vet if you're uncertain about it. This is for the comfort and safety of all our boarders, where a risk of cross-infection may exist. We need to see each cat's vaccination record, or other veterinary certificate of inoculation, at the time of checking in. For the benefit of all of our guests, we will not check in a cat that does not have this information to hand. We will be pleased to help or advise for those who need to have their cat inoculated or to bring their innoculations up to date.
Caring & Qualified Kennels & Cattery Staff
It is important for any boarding facility to be able to handle any unexpected events that may face us from time to time. At Fir Tree our senior kennelling staff are qualified in Animal Husbandry and maintain an on-going education programme to ensure that we remain up to date with all current events and facilities. We have 24 hr on-call access to veterinary facilities situated locally, so if any of our boarders need medical assistance they get it - promptly! Our kennels and cat boarding facilities are fully licensed. As a family run business, we live on the site, so there is a 24-hour attendance on site throughout the year (in the event that we are away at any time, then our senior kennelling staff live on site to provide continuous cover).

We are based in Sale, in south Manchester. You can find us easily from junction 7 of the M60, just 10 minutes drive from Manchester centre and on route to Manchester airport, which is only a further 15 minutes drive from us - so ideally located for dropping off or collecting your dog or cat on your journey to or from the airport.
